Team Tri for Hospice is a group of four triathletes - Dina Arceo, Phil Beane, Karen Buxton and Becky Sage - from the Triad region of North Carolina who have committed themselves to raise awareness of and funds for the Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, NC, in memory of family members who have benefited from the expert care and compassion of Hospice. Our team has targeted the USA Ironman Championships in New York City on August 11th, 2012 as our culminating event; but in preparation we will be attending several other races, both local and national (see upcoming events). The NYC Championship Ironman-distance race (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run) will be Sage’s 1st, Arceo’s 2nd, Beane’s 2nd, and Buxton’s 10th.

Through our training and racing this spring and summer, the Team has set a fundraising goal of $15,000, to be donated to the Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro.
